The Drill

Good day, fellow classmates, fellow teachers! Nice to have you around! Have you missed me? I know I have(missed myself). Now let's move on, shall we?

I have been charged with writing about the delicious project you had attained. I have little background but I randomly participated to making of, hence my obligation. The treat is called "Christmas Pudding" and it looks quite undesirable but should be good. The lovely ladies who actually did the work are the following: Diana Bardan, Cristiana Pricop, Irina Filip, Diana Tanase(mmm), Alina Rosca, Malina Slevoaca and Anca Elvadeanu.

The talented cooks gathered a bunch of golden caster sugar, vegetarian suet, sultanas, raisins, currants, candied peel, flour,   breadcrumbs, almonds, zest, eggs, cinnamon, nutmeg and brandy(maybe not, hopefully yes) . Fancy enough? I know for sure I don't reckon half of them. They greased some stuff, mixed some other stuff together, did some stirring, boiled something, cooled and the rest is magic; and love; and my lack of intel about the actual process. In a nutshell, they got their hands dirty. And I did them a great service by providing delightful company. In the end, you got your pudding. And I know for sure(no, I don't) that you enjoyed it very much! Merry Christmas!

Bonus: We also listened to my swag music from Bucharest!!! You should try it: Alex Velea, Corina and Ruby.

And if...

And if the branches tap my pane
And the poplars shudder nightly,
It is to make me see (dream) again
I hold you to me tightly.

And if the star shine beats the lake
And light its sombre shoal,
It is to ease my longing ache
And flood with peace my soul.

And if the clouds their tresses part
And forth the moon comes shining
It is but to remind my heart
I am always for you longing.

Homework

And if...
And if the branches tap my pane
And the poplars tremble slowly
It is to remember you again
And never to be lonely.

And if the stars shine on the pond
Lightening its somber shoal
It is to make my pain respond
And heal my bleeding soul.

And if the clouds draw themselves back
So that the moon could shine
It is to make my heart remind
That time when you were mine.

Already thinking of 10E?

Nothing was as I expected and there were few things that I knew about high school in general and teachers from "Petru Rares".

Every single time people find out that I am in this class ask me "Is it hard?" Well, YES, yes it is! This is year I worked at English, at least, so much that once I realised I even dreamed in English :)) But it's ok. We still know how to speak in Romanian and also to write.

Despite all this, I had fun, I made new friends and I learnt  new things about myself and, of course, the world I live in. I'm thrilled that I have such awesome classmates and understanding teachers and I hope we will continue to do activities like the apple pie project, the Valentine celebration or the music project.

I feel good in this class and I enjoy the atmosphere and the way we organize. Thank you, both classmates and teachers, for all  these great memories! >:D<

P.S. We really are golden and no one can't even think of denying it!

  • Here is a photo from my agenda of one of the hardest months we've been through. Now seems impossible :))

9th grade impressions

Long live our freedom!

Yes, it's over! It's amazing how quickly could it pass, but 9th grade is finally over so dear freedom, welcome in our monotonous lives and make them unforgettable. Anyway, I have some memories which will make me smile no matter if I'm walking alone on a street or I'm somewhere in a crowd. I'll always remember our funny projects which have shown our clumsiness but also brought us closer to each other: 'Apple Pie', 'Valentine's Day' and of course The music project which has been the greatest. So despite the idea of having 12 textbooks for working during summertime, English classes were so great and full of funny moments like 'Kids, I want to see your homework!' 'What? Did we have one?' 'Ops, I forgot my Upstream' and so on.
About the other classes, I should say that this year has been a tough one, we had to work hard, we passed through a lot of difficulties together but we managed to remain in the race and not to give up. We learnt a lot of things this year, especially how to spend our free time in a better way because you don't know when you'll have another moment of freedom.
I remember as it has been yesterday the first time I entered the class. It was pretty awkward knowing no one from those kids but we created so fast a lot of friendships and I hope we will be more and more united in the future.

Love,
Bianca

In the end...

Dear Golden classmates,

I can't believe this school year is over! Finally, the holiday is here waiting for us and we are almost in 10 E now. Although it was probably the hardest time in my life so far, I enjoyed it.I must confess that before coming here I had heard about this college and about all these projects and nice things that were happening here but what I lived and seen and experienced this year surpassed all my expectations. I felt that our teachers are our friends and they are open to new ideas like the one with the "Music Contest" and stuff. What else can I say? I'm really happy I had the chance to get to know each and every one of you.
I'm looking forward to next school year and I bet the best is still to come.
Love you all!!!

Evelina.
