Save Colby School

Due to lack of funding, The Colby School is threatened with closure. Since this is an essential institution for the community, they are ready to gather and contribute to its rehabilitation.

One way of dealing with this problem would be to persuade the government to step in. By doing so, the problem of paying the debts and taxes would be solved. The school would still have to find opportunities for receiving money for future plans. This could come from different sources like funding EU projects. This way, students would continue to get the education they are entitled to.

Another suggestion is to hold fund-raising activities like balls or fairs. Those could bring a sufficient amount of money for the expenses that the school needs to cover. A disco night or selling cookies and brownies might turn out to be a great business. Considering this is to the advantage of both students and teachers, the support will be granted. As a result, the money raised could be used in order to help the school.

Furthermore, each student could be charged a small fee. Although it is not too big an effort for each student to contribute, taken as a whole, the result would be considerable and would lead to a great improvement. By doing this, the school can be more self-sufficient and support a part of its expenditure.

In conclusion, if the measures mentioned above were taken, the situation could be remedied and the school would be saved. In addition to this, by building a stronger community for saving it, the school might even progress and be transformed into a leading one.

                                                         Threatened Schools

Nowadays,  there are many colleges that are threatened with closure. The most important reason of this is that these places lack money.  The following suggestions should be taken  into consideration so as to avoid the closure of schools or colleges.

One suggestion would be the school to hold fund-raising activities. This way, students could make various projects where team work is necessary, like a costume contest for Halloween or Christmas. Every participant and even every organiser will have to pay a sum of money that will allow them to organise or to take part in the activity. What is more, students could make some posters to announce the activities so the entire school will know about them. These  projects will prove to be successful if a large amount of money will be raised, money that will solve part of the school's problems.

Another way to combat this situation would be to persuade the city government to step in. Being such a well-known and beloved school, the government could help it by paying some important taxes or giving some money to school in order to be able to get rid of some debts. In this way, the school will have to take care of the teachers' salaries to be given in time. Therefore students could get the education they are entitled to

Last but not least, charging a small fee for each student per year might help the school. Everyone who wants to study in a school that is being threatened with closure, should be asked to pay some money in order to have books, materials and technology. Extra books or extra courses will be also paid by students. This way, the school will be made self-sufficient.

In conclusion, it can be seen that there are a few ways for your school to avoid being closed, should these suggestions be acted upon as soon as possible.

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing on behalf of the students at Tipton College that I am representing. As you might already be informed, our school is threatened with closure and we are trying to do our best to avoid this to happen.

One the one hand, the first problem is the lack of materials such as maps, textbooks, video projectors, etc. The students might feel motivated to learn better and with more pleasure if our school were provided with such compulsory materials. I suggest as a solution to this problem to introduce some fund raising activities in our college. These activities might include plays, dance shows, fairs on different themes, etc. as a modality to raise money. This could also make our school more self-sufficient and it is an original manner to discover new talents among our students.

An another way of raising money for improving the facilities of our school is to charge a small fee for each student for every year. My opinion is that they should be conscious that if they want a better environment to learn into, they have to participate both to activities and to donating money to the school’s fund.

On the other hand, more and more students from our school tend to skip classes, mostly because they are getting bored and believe that the classes they are attending to are not interesting at all. They also consider the fact that there is nothing that could make them pay attention to the classes. One solution would be to have some security guards standing at all the doors of the school checking whether the students intent to skip their courses and to stop them from doing this. However, this cannot be possible without the government’s help as paying the security guars is beyond our possibilities.

I hope that my suggestions will be taken into consideration and that our situation will improve without being necessary to close our school. Thank you in anticipation!

                                                                                                                     Yours faithfully,

                                                                                                                          Olivia Connor

Save Riverdell School!

Because of the global financial crisis, Riverdell School has not sufficient funds to give the teachers their salaries. As a consequence, Riverdell School is threatened with closure, this being a great problem for the students who study there.

One way to deal with the situation would be to persuade the British government to step in. It might pay the school`s debts and all the taxes, at least for a couple of months. In this way, the school has to pay only the teachers` salaries that do not consist of a very large amount of money. Therefore students could get the education they are entitled for.

Another measure that should be taken is to charge a small fee for some students. The respective student`s family should be required to have a certain capital per year. If a student has a smaller capital, he does not have to pay that fee. Consequently, the salaries will not be a problem anymore and furthermore the school will be made more self-sufficient.

One final suggestion, which would help enormously, is to hold fund-raising activities. For instance, the school can organize balls where students would have to purchase tickets. As a result, the students would find it a good way to have fun and it is also an excellent way to raise money.

All in all, there are several measures which should be taken in order to save Riverdell School and it would be great if the suggestions mentioned above were taken into consideration.

Here's a background story for the potato

It was a stormy day of April. A seed sprouted in a far away land, and eventually grew into a golden potato. And that potato created his own nation. The Mighty Potato Nation. But he had no men, nor women, nor children in that nation. He needed more subjects in order to conquer the world. So he planted more seeds and waited, for decades and centuries, until the seeds grew into...tomatoes. And so the war began. The potato fought bravely, with sword and spear, but he was outnumbered. After 300 days of intense battle, the tomatoes have won and the potato, with his last breath, whispered to them "The Potato Master shall avenge me...beware..". And then he died.

To be continued...

I am bored so here is a potato
