The Chemistry Olympiad

First of all, the Chemistry Olympiad rocks! Especially this year, I think it was one of the best because as we all know it's an election year and we received more funds than usual. Everything was great, from accommodation (we stayed in hotels!) and food, to the Olympiad itself. The only thing I can complain about is the fact that we were staying far from each other and I didn't get much time to talk with everyone I wanted to.
This was a great opportunity to visit Baia Mare which is a beautiful city that still has  some of the old buildings and we really enjoyed walking there. The weather was kind of tricky because on the first day it snowed, the second was sunny and then it rained but we didn't care that much about this because we were too busy with the exams.
I have to say we expected better results but as I said, it could always be worse. Moving on, last evening we had a special dinner where we all gathered to celebrate the fact that we were all there, sharing the same interest.
I think the most important achievement was meeting great university teachers and learning a lot of amazing things from my older colleagues (which Serban didn't want me to).
Our staying ended great for Suceava at the Award Ceremony finding out that Adnana, who is also studying at CNPR had qualified in the national team.
To sum up, it was an amazing experience and I can't wait to meet all these great people again next year.
